Getting to Centro Académico Cultural, UNAM Juriquilla

Querétaro is a well-connected city in central Mexico, approximately 220 km (137 miles) northwest of Mexico City. Below are your travel options:

 

By Air
Querétaro International Airport (QRO)  
Location: 34 km (21 miles) southeast of Juriquilla (~40-minute drive).  

Flights: Direct flights from major U.S. cities (e.g., Dallas, Houston, Chicago), as well as domestic hubs like Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancun and Monterrey.  

Airlines: Aeroméxico, American Airlines, United, Volaris, VivaAerobus.  

Tips: Book flights early, as QRO is a smaller airport with limited schedules. Arrive at least 2 hours before international flights.
Alternate Airport: Mexico City International Airport (MEX)  
Location: 200 km (124 miles) from Querétaro (2.5–3-hour drive).  

Flights: Extensive international and domestic connections.  

Transfer Options: From Mexico City, take a bus or rent a car (see below).

 

By Bus
From Mexico City:  
Terminals: Terminal Norte (Mexico City) to Querétaro Central Bus Terminal (Terminal de Autobuses de Querétaro, TAQ).  

Operators: Primera Plus, ETN, ADO (luxury options available).  

Duration: 2.5–3 hours.  

Cost: ~MXN 300–600 ($15–30 USD), depending on service level.  

Frequency: Buses depart every 30 minutes.
From Other Cities: Guadalajara (5–6 hrs), León (2 hrs), San Luis Potosí (2.5 hrs). Purchase tickets online or at the terminal.

 

By Car
From Mexico City: Take Highway 57D (toll road, ~MXN 200 in tolls). Drive time: ~2.5–3 hours.

 

Parking at CAC: Limited on-site parking is available; arrive early to secure a spot.
